I utilize a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, mindfulness exercises, and psychoeducation to help children, teens, and adults recognize their strengths, identify areas for improvement and feel more confident and happy in their everyday lives.
For young children, I offer a combination of CBT, DBT, and play therapy focusing on anxiety management, mindfulness, relaxation, and self-confidence. For children this age, therapy should be fun and engaging! It's not uncommon to find me with glitter on my hands, no shoes on and playing on the floor with the children in sessions. I set them up to understand that feelings and therapy aren't things to be afraid of; we have fun while we learn and talk! These services are appropriate for children as young as 4 through 10 years of age.
For teens and young adults, I offer CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy and mindfulness training to deal with issues of anxiety, self-esteem, academics and/or sports performance, and transition planning for college or work life and gaining a sense of independence.
For adults, I offer CBT and solution-focused therapy to help with a wide variety of potential issues ranging from anxiety and depression to parenting and child behavior modification plans, to assisting with understanding and creating 504 and IEP's for school, to relationship support and more.
Psychotherapy is available in person and teletherapy.
